Year 12 Trip to Carding Mill Valley
Geography AS level students got straight down to work at the start of the Autumn Term, making the annual trip to Carding Mill Valley in Shropshire to carry out their Fieldwork. Despite it being the start of October, the weather was beautiful and as well as collecting data for their investigation, it was a great day for getting to know each other and really bonding as a group. Mrs Simpson and Miss Pierce lead us up the stream towards the source but by 11.30, we were already ready for lunch! (We had to leave room for ice creams later on in the day). The trip was highly successful and the whole group really enjoyed the day out, despite the amount of walking and the occasional breaks to actually carry out the work!

Skiing Trips
Any kind of mountain sport is fantastic. In the mountains you can experience some of the most impressive views you will ever see. The air is fresh and the feeling you get whilst skiing or riding down the mountain is electric. I have been skiing now since I was in year 9 and it has become one of my favorite sporting passions. More recently I have learnt to snowboard, broke my rib in the process, which is also great fun. It must be said though it is much more difficult to learn as a beginner.
